• yes it can, i would recommend mounting it on a 2.5 to whatever size bay you are placing it in, but as long as your desktop support SATA drives these will work just fine

• Yes it includes a metal tray that you can screw into place. To connect, you remove existing hard drive and connect to new SSD. Migration and optimization software is on disk included. You may want to get a hard drive case if you intend to access your old hard drive via USB.
