• I installed the Samsung EVO 850 1TB in my new-to-me December 2011 MacBook Pro and it's been running so much faster than it did with the Hitachi 750GB HDD that came with it so I can't imagine that it wouldn't be fine for your 2012 MBP. It's been about a month and I've had no issues with this new SSD. Plus, I went on to install the 500GB version of this SSD in my mid/late 2007 MBP and it's been running just fine since it was installed about 2 weeks ago. I've noticed improved performance/speed. Granted, nowhere near the increase as I've seen in the 2011 MBP but enough to warrant the money spent.
