What is an EVO and its purpose?? null

Good day, It's a solid state drive. You would need to go to Samsung's website to find what the "EVO" is for. See my review Nick name "kernel". Great drive for either purpose. Replacing your drive in your PC, making a backup or building a new unit. I purchased as a portable back up. I am going to replace hard drive in PC later this year.

Evo is simply the model name of this SSD.
