Won't affect the warranty. Hard drives and RAM are replaceable items that are allowed to be upgraded by the owner.

I usually keep the original drive so as to be able to restore the computer to stock. That also allows me to have the ability to test to see if the problem requiring warranty service is drive or software related, or a real hardware problem elsewhere. Make sure to use the right tools when doing the swap or installation and refer to repair guides at iFixit.com or YouTube.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it does not void warranty. Laptops are always upgradable, and manufacturers usually expect you to upgrade those parts. Your laptop manufacturer will not service that specific part, RAM included, if you upgraded it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Almost any action that requires removing screws from your computer, will void the warranty. Check the paperwork or call your provider to ask, but the answer in this case should be yes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you install it yourself I believe it does void your warranty. I had Geek Squad install mine and this avoids voiding the warranty. Now I bought my laptop at Best Buy so that might be why my warranty is not voided using Geek Squad. I would call your customer service for your computer manufacturer and ask them if using a licensed company like Geek Squad would void it.
