However, the NV 54 is a serial ata that will have a transfer speed of up to 1.5Gbps In layman terms, its like using an old iphone 3G compared to new phones such as an iphone6. But to be honest, ive run it on laptops with that same specification as your gateway nv 54 and it runs beautiful.
