You will need a sata to usb adapter (Best Buy sells them in store) and the drive comes with a cd with software that copies your existing hard disk to the samsung ssd. If you aren't comfortable doing that the Geek Squad can do it for you.

It clones the old drive to the new one. Unplug the new drive , take out the old drive and install the new one and that's it.

Please try again later.if you have the original OS you can do a Recovery media, then put SSD (if your HDD have a case it fits inside with bolts) and use your recovery media to install OS and factory apps, just before check in BIOS "AHCI mode" is turned on... and that's it. Intall the Samsung software and then clone your existing drive to the new drive. Shut the system down and replace your existing drive with the be drive and your done
