Either. As long as you have SATA connections for power and data, it will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is for both but if your desktop does not have the smaller bay to hold SSD drives you will need to get a 2.5 - 3.5 converter tray. I added that to the recommend products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SSD drives are smaller than standard laptop drives. Length is same, width is same , thickness can very slightly, and is not an issue. As the SSD drive is smaller than a laptop drive it is much smaller than a standard desktop drive. All 3 dimensions are smaller on an SSD. You can purchase a Cady for 10 to 15 dollars. This allows you to mount SSD into same machine. Cables need to be SATA as the interface on a SSD drive is SATA.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it's an internal drive you can use it for Laptop as well as Desktop. I have installed it on my laptop but I'm pretty sure if you have SATA SSD adaptor or cable in your desktop then you can install it on your desktop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just purchased and installed the 850 pro (laptop label) in my dell desktop - works great. I had the same concern and called Samsung about its labeling - no difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is for a laptop however it does have a SATA three connection so I could potentially be configured to use on the desktop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can be used for both laptop & desktop. It all depends on how old is your desktop computer. If you using a desktop running WinXP your chances are it wont work. My computer is Emachine T3508 WinXP & is Visa capable. It have the SATA plugs to install the SSD, but it needs more than 2GB of memory. The software that came with the Samsung told me it couldnt operate in full speed. But i did see a slight difference in speed when i installed it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, it will work on both. If it is for a laptop, open it first to be sure that you will be able to install the new SSD without any type of modification as some original hard drives could be soldered to the mother board or laptop chassis. I hope this helps
