If you laptop has a 2.5 SATA DRIVE it should work. I have installed two in my families laptops and they work great, they really reduce boot up time. There is a cable that you an get that allows you to hook it up as an external USB drive and the software that is available with the drive will allow you to clone the drive prior to installing it in the laptop. That saves you from reloading all your software from scratch, unless you want to do a fresh load and get rid of all the junk software that came on your laptop. It’s a great deal
