Does it work with a HP Elite note book? null

I installed it in a HP ProBook 640 G1 and it worked fine.

Depends on the model. I have a current model HP EliteBook 840 G5 that only takes M.2 nvme SSD drives like the Samsung 970 series.

It should. Search HP’s website for your models Manual. They often have detailed drawings for how to service them.
