My guess is it will fit. I put this in my MacBook Pro 13” mid 2012, took me less than 30 minutes and fits perfectly. If I’m not wrong, the insides of the 2010 and 2012 are pretty much the same and haven’t change much. A lil research to be extra sure should clear all doubts though.

If you replace the C: drive you'll have to either clone the original drive (use a Time Machine backup) to the new one or reinstall the OS on the new one and you'll have a fresh install of High Sierra using internet recovery method. If you do reinstall the OS, make sure you have an external drive with all your backup data so you won't loose your pics, docs, etc (or have your time Machine backups)..
