If your hdd has over 500gb on it the best option is just doing a fresh windows install on the ssd unless you have it partitioned. Cant just transfer the OS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it should. I just did exactly that. It was easier than I expected. You notice the startup time improve. There is other migration software out there but from what I researched Samsung migration and Magician software is the best. I hope that helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use cloning software, and it should work, but for a Windows machine, another option would be to install a fresh/clean install of Windows OS onto the SSD. It's a good idea to run the SSD as your primary drive. If you have Windows 10, you will not need to purchase it again. Also, you should unplug your old HDD hard drive until the Windows OS has been fully installed onto the SSD. Once the Windows OS has completed installation, go back and plug in the old HDD hard drive again and close up the machine. This will prioritize SSD drivers in Windows for you, and provide optimal response with your SSD. Lastly, if you installed a clean/fresh install of Windows, don't forget to activate it, if there any problems with activating Windows, you can call Microsoft and they will fix it for you. They will see all the hardware IDs, just the SSD upgrade is different, and reissue the license to your machine when you activate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The cloning software is an OEM version of Acronis. It will clone any brand HDD or SSD to a Samsung drive.
