Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a large television, so you may be tempted to sit further away, but that would actually be incorrect. As this is an UHD (2160P) television, you actually should sit closer than you would imagine. With its large size, 7-10 ft would probably be idyllic. For more information on this, do a web search looking for screen distance vs pixel density. Basically if you are too far away, or the screen is too small (when dealing with 4k), your eyes physical don't see much of a difference. Why spend the $ for all those pixels if you're only going to be able to view/process half of them or less. Dolby has an excellent screen distance calculator which can be found online.
