• Hello wuzzle, Yes, the HW-Q950T is an upgrade with 9.1.4ch compared to the HW-Q90R 7.1.4 ch. The rear speakers are not cross compatible, you will not be able to replace the soundbar and just keep the current sub and rears. ^Cristian
