Q: QuestionIs this compatible with the ASUS P8Z77-V LK motherboard? If not, which SSD drives are?
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer Nick, Unfortunately, it does not "appear" that your ASUS P8Z77-V LK System/Motherboard supports the Samsung 970-EVO SSD. The 970-EVO SSD utilizes the NVM-e (off of the PCI-Express) Architecture. According to the Crucial Memory Web-Site -- https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/ASUS/p8z77-v-lk -- your System only supports SATA Versions of SSD's... However, Crucial and/or Micron do make SATA HDD's that will work in your system, such as the BX500 and MX500 Series of SATA SSD Drives. Perhaps ASUS Support can give you a more definitive answer, regarding NVM-e SSD Disks. Hope this helps.
