No, according to what I've been reading, Apple used a proprietary connector for its SSD in that model, not m.2. Adapters do appear to be available for as little as $15, and are a little sled you plug into the macbook and then plug the m.2 drive into, but I can't comment on their reliability. One adapter listed on Amazon even specifically says it does not support the 970 Evo Plus.

Apple used a proprietary design for their keys. Now, if you are brave, you can find adapters for the MacBook Pro that will convert the Apple proprietary design to a M-keyed NVMe (Such as the 970 Evo Plus). You have to have one of the latest versions of MacOS installed on your system (Updates the firmware of the system to natively support NVMe drives) before installing, but it is possible if you are willing to take some risks. There have been stories that some of the adapters are a bit big and can cause the bottom of the case to bulge somewhat...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want to use it as a boot drive, you will need to download the latest firmware from Samsung: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/ –and apply the firmware download for the 970 Plus from within Windows. Then you'll be able to use it as a Mac boot drive. IDK about simply using it for storage.
