A:AnswerThe Samsung 970 EVO will work with the Dell XPS 8900, and it will still be faster than a SATA based drive, but it will not run at full speed.
The Dell XPS 8900 does have an NVME M.2 slot. However, according to the spec, it's only got an x1 PCI-e 3.0 lane. Newer motherboards have 4 PCI-e lanes, and the drive is designed to take advantage of the faster throughput. The motherboard in the Dell XPS8900 will only be able to talk to the drive at the maximum speed of one lane, 985 MB/s, so you won't get the full speeds advertised for the drive. However, it will still be faster than the max speed of a SATA port, 600MB/s.
Bottom line, get it, you'll be happy with it, but go in knowing that you won't get the speeds Samsung advertises while you're using it in the 8900.
A:AnswerHi Dan,
You can check with the below article for more information.

"As Sony explained on stage several months ago, the external drives will have to match the 5.5GB/s speed of the internal storage, which means you’ll need PCIe 4.0 drives that aren’t widely available yet."
The Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD is not a PCIe 4.0 drive, but the new 980 series should be compatible. Hope this helps.
Best,

A:AnswerYes. You can download the Data Migration software from Samsung's website. Also, download the Samsung Magician software to optimize the drive.

A:AnswerAfter looking at the specifications for that motherboard, it support NVMe drives, so this drive will work. Just remember to setup the appropriate M.2 slot as 'PCIe' rather than as a 'SATA' port.
A:AnswerIt will fit fine, but you will have to put up with much better transfer speeds :)

A:AnswerIf your laptop has m.2 slot for HD then you can get this for your laptop. Look for your laptop manual to find out if this is compatible or not. m.2 is better than sata in terms of speed.

A:AnswerNot sure, I just got this drive installed on a AW 17r5 and after setting it as a drive through disk management it has performed flawlessly.. I have heard that the Samsung software for cloning is great but didn’t use it, I ended up keeping my drive strictly for games and left the OS on the smaller SSD drive the AW came with
A:AnswerAfter taking a quick look at the Motherboard that comes with your ACER ATC-120-UC22 , I do not see an M.2 Slot for this device to be inserted, so I would say no to your question.
A:AnswerYour board should be a PCIe ver. 3. Your board does not have a M.2 slot, but you can put the 970 EVO into an M.2-PCIe adapter and mount it into any PCIe 3.0 x4/x16 slot. I'm not sure you will be able to boot from it in that configuration, unless the manufacturer as upgraded the bios to allow it to do so. If not, you will just have a super fast storage drive. It would be best to research or contact the manufacturer for that information.
A:AnswerYes this should work but I personally would make it my primary drive and use the stock micron for backup. This is much faster. There are cheaper options if the drive is just for extra space and not a primary.
