It will fit fine, but you will have to put up with much better transfer speeds :) Specs for your current drive: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/ssd/client-ssd/MZVLW256HEHP/ Specs for the new drive: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/970evoplus/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speeds will be just a tad faster due to the bigger storage size. It won't be a noticeable speed difference though...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It will. Buying the larger SSD does not neccesarily effect transfer speeds. It will be more dependent on your hardware and whether or not it is using PCIe 3.0 or an earlier variant. What effects transfer speeds is the manufacturer and what type of SSD controller they are using on the drive. The Samsung evo plus line uses the Samsung Phoenix controller. Which is the same controller they used on the Evo 860 SSD's but it has optimizations in place to get as much as it can out of the controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just did this upgrade 2 weeks ago. I think you'll be happy with this.
