- Answer Yes, it should work. I believe your laptop has a second PCIe slot open. I'm not sure if your computer uses PCIe 3 or 4 but this drive should work in either one.

- Answer According to what I see online, your M15 R3 should be able to accept m.2 interface SSDs. However, I would consult your manual and documentation that game with it to see how many slots it has, etc.

QuestionWill this work in a HP 690-0034 Gaming PC? It has the M.2 128mb ssd with type B & M Keys, The Motherboard specs say it is a Socket 3 & Key M. It looks like it will work, but trying to verify before I buy.

- Answer After looking at the motherboard info on HP site, looks like there is only one m.2 that would support this new evo plus. You would have to remove the existing main m.2 to install this one. This will require the operating system to be installed again and any files transferred. The second m.2 slot looks to only support a short stick and is labeled for WAN (think wifi). So this won't be "add it in for a second drive" it can be an upgrade to what's installed with a little work.

- Answer That depends on what type of computer you have and if the computer supports NVME. Most of the newer systems do support these ssd types, would recommend referencing the manual for the system

- Answer According to another site’s specs regarding your motherboard, yes. It has one M.2 slot with the various lengths for this type of NVME drives. Regardless if you choose to use it as your boot drive or as additional storage, it should be compatible for your application.

- Answer You would have to check the manual to ensure that it has a m.2 slot that supports NVME, just because it has an m.2 slot does not mean that it supports PCIe for NVME. Would recommend the 860 pro I know that for sure it supports SATA ssd through the 2.5 connection

- Answer You must have a M2 NVME compliant socket on the motherboard that is supported in your machines BIOS. Sometimes a BIOS upgrade is necessary prior to the SSD being recognized. It makes an awesome bootable volume and you can usually mirror image your previous Hard drive or SSD drive to the M2 SSD drive once it is installed. In a desktop you have an additional option of inserting a M2 NVME complaint PCI-E card into one of the spare PCI-Express slots in your machine if you have no M2 socket on your motherboard. Look at your owners manual for the above details. (Sometimes you will need to go to the HP site and download the manual).
