As long as your motherboard has a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe slot. If you do not have an NVMe slot, or if it isn't PCIe Gen 4. It would not be compatible with your computer.

It should work but the 970 is probably a better value for you. The 980 really shines when you have Gen4 support in the CPU/Chipset. Unless mobile is different, only 11th gen Intel CPU chipsets support PCIeGen4. The 970 should save you a few $$
