QuestionWhy is your PRO line now using TLC nand? Will your Evo line now use QLC? I would never buy QLC nand and I hope you have something in the works otherwise the competition is starting to become just as good, if not better.

- Answer Samsung is still the most reliable manufacturer. Other brands release great drives that compete well with Samsung. However, be cautious with other manufacturers. The other manufacturers such as ADATA, Sabrent etc... release drives that stack up and compete well with Samsung, however over time, they often change components as a cost saving measure resulting in performance that is inferior to their originally released offering and not on par with Samsung.

QuestionWill this work on a HP OMEN Laptop?

- Answer David, I'd check out the HP Support website, or you can also check out Crucial.com. There, you can put in the exact model number of your HP Omen, or download their scanner and it will tell you all of the RAM and SSD upgrades that your computer supports. Obviously, this will only tell you for Crucial brand products, but if it shows that you can upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and storage to a P-Series 2TB NVMe drive, then you can also look for those products in other brands. I use Crucial Scanner to check for upgrades for most of my computers! Super handy! After you download and run the scanner, click on Storage to see drives your computer supports. If there are any NVMe options in the product list, then compare the specs/requirements to the Samsung 980 Pro. If they are both PCIe NVMe (Gen 3 or 4) then you are most likely good to go! - Answer I have an older system with a Z370 chipset with M.2 PCI-E 3.0 slots and see on avg. 3520 Read and 3300 Write with Random IOPS of 124500 Read and 85000 Write.

- Answer The Samsung 980 Pro does not come included with a heat sink. For PS5, Sony says you must use a heat sink. I recommend, EZDIY-FAB M.2 SSD heatsink 2280, Double-Sided Heat Sink, High Performance SSD Radiator for PC / PS5 for PCIE NVME M.2 SSD or SATA M.2 SSD- Black It fit perfectly on my 980 Pro and fits perfectly inside my PS5. There are some articles online that will have list of PS5 size perfect heat sinks.

- Answer As long as it has an available M.2 slot it should. Just remember you will have to format the drive once installed in order for it to function.

- Answer I've got an Alienware Aurora R8, w/a 9th Generation i9-9900K CPU, which I have the 500GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus model in, and I haven't had any issue w/that. I also have a 1TB Hard Drive in it as well, which I use for backup files, and other junk. With the Samsung 980 Pro, I have that model in an Intel Intel Hades Canyon which I just acquired. I haven't had any issues w/that one either. They're very easy to install, and very fast, especially when loading and running games and such. You'd want to get at least a 500GB or better. 500GB is more than adequate though.

- Answer The two slots do not have to be the same size, you can add up to 2TB sdd of PCle Gen4

- Answer Looking up the specs of your laptop it says the SSD is NGFF (pciE) which is now called M2 which is also (pciE) so this should be compatible. If your replacing your main drive you will want to make a complete backup as the new won't have windows or anything on it.

- Answer Kip, As long as it has an available M.2 slot, the 980 PRO is compatible. The M.2 standard allows widths of 12, 16, 22 and 30mm and lengths of 16, 26, 30, 38, 42, 69, 80 and 110mm. Samsung provides the most popular form factor, which is 22mm x 80mm (i.e., 2280). ^Samsung Memory

- Answer Yes this drive will work. But it is built for pcie 4th generation motherboards to achieve maximum speed. 3rd Generation pcie would you most likely have will limit the read-write speed of this drive
