How many inches from the wall do I need? null

Depends on which water supply hoses you want to use. I had to get ones with the right angle connection at the washer inlet. Required this as my washer was in an upstairs laundry and needed to be placed in a plastic safety drain tray. Placement of the washer in the tray forced the washer close to the wall. Whatever your particular situation, the right angle supply lines will help if space is limited.

Roughly 4-5 inches from the wall.
