(WA50K8600AW) Hello Trudy! This model is a direct driven model so it does not have a belt attached to the drum. The washer has a sensor to detect if a load is off balanced but typically does not become unbalanced after calibration unless the load itself it not balanced. Hope this helps! ^Cole
