If your home is not WiFi then you will need an Ethernet cable to enjoy the devices full app functionality using Netflix, Amazon, Cinema now etc. You mentioned your TV already has a DVD player connected with an HDMI cable. Simply replace your DVD player with this device since this player is backward compatible (plays DVD discs) using the same cable and should not have any problems. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI is all you should need since it's a wireless player as long as you have a wireless router for your internet/network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All i used is a HDMI cord to hook this up to my tv. Then connected wirelessly for streaming hulu & netflix. You'll get a faster connection if you connect it directly to your router/modem through an ethernet cord though - but my router is in another room.
