“Yesterday when I tried to turn on my BD-D6700 model with the remote control it wouldn't respond. When I checked the batteries one of them had leaked, so I cleaned up the remote and changed the batteries but the player still won't respond. Is there anything I can do to fix this?”

sometimes it freezes, have you tried a power reset cycle? (Unplugging the device for a minute or two then plug it back and power up)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You may have to buy a new one but for now, if you have a smart phone try downloading a remote control app. I've done this with my LG products, maybe one is available for Samsung. It's the cheapest way to go
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure the remote was cleaned properly and completely with lemon juice or vinegar. If the battery acid leaked onto a circuit board inside the remote then you will have to get a new remote.
