You will need an HDMI cord to your tv but you can play Netflix, Hulu and such wireless.

Yes, it's wired to the TV. It connects to Wifi to download content. It doesn't wirelessly connect to a smart TV. I don't know of any disc player that does that. Chromecast only works on a computer that's using the chrome browser.

This player is NOT wireless. It is connected to your tv via HDMI.

you must have a dvi cable to watch on your TV. The wireless function allow you to watch Netflix, and other online media.

This is a DVD player which has wireless capabilities. It is similar to Chromecast. It will allow you to stream movies from apps such as Netflix and Amazon on Demand.
