“my bd-f5900 can't read the newer bluray discs. does Samsung plan on keeping their firmware current? they will only tell me that my version is the most up to date. year old blu-ray discs play just fine”

whidbeyman, The firmware should be current. If you could reach out to the Samsung customer service center with specific titles that don't work, we may be able to look further into this for you. But most titles on the market today will work just fine with the BD-F7500. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
