• A:Answer It consistently makes ice, just too slow to keep up with use. I can't find a mechanical problem, I believe it is a design flaw.

Q: QuestionMy water pitcher stops filling with water about 1/2 way full. Then if I reposition the pitcher it will usually fill the rest of the way. Does anyone else experience this?

• A:Answer Yes you can use the ice maker and pitcher without the filter. Samsung charges 50 dollars for a filter that shouldn't be more than 20-25 dollars. I believe they knew a lot of people would stop using the filters, so there is a bypass valve in the fridge that activates when there is no filter installed.
