• A:Answer Whatever brand of dishwasher soap you prefer. Whether it's powder or tablets. The one thing to not skimp on is Jet-Dry. That does help with streaks and helps with dry dishes.

• A:Answer I think it's faulty wiring or hook up. It's not something that draws a lot of power. Maybe water or moisture is coming in to contact with connections used during install

Q: QuestionSamsung Model:DW80R9950UG dishwasher just installed. The supplied drain line is shorter than the 6 1/2' Kenmore Elite that it replaced. It barely reaches the drain connection and installer were not able to put the loop at the drain connection.

Q: QuestionWhat is the point of wifi/smart things if you can't start the dishwasher remotely? Every time it powers off, the smart control disables. I thought the whole point was to be able to start a wash remotely...not having to physically turn it on.

• A:Answer We've only had this dishwasher for a month with about 7 loads. I tested dishes without rinsing and even a spoon with cream cheese. They came out clean with the normal setting. Not sure how baked on crust will come out though. So far better than my 18 year old Whirlpool and dang quiet.

Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have a vent or ventless. If vented, where does it vent to? There are 4 small openings in the handle.

• A:Answer No vents that I'm aware of (those are usually saved for units with a heating element for a drying cycle (producing lots of steam and creating the need for venting). This particular unit foregos that heated drying element in lieu of the door opening automatically during the final minutes of the wash cycle, allowing the dishes to air dry with residual heat from the wash cycle. Alternatively, you can hand dry them if you're in a rush to put them away.
