A:AnswerVideo through USB C only - you'll need a generic external port expander to get HDMI. I didn't try that before returning this for a Galaxy CB2 (which we greatly preferred), but I expect that should work connected to USB-C on either side.
A:AnswerProbably never. Google seems to want to make tethering easier from you phone rather than make tablets/Chromebooks with 5g. From a supply chain standpoint, a software fix is more feasible than adding expensive hardware.
