Yes. I did not have some of the info they needed when I purchased the phone, so I bought the phone at Best Buy and then had it activated a few days later. FYI: If they have problems activating the phone, make sure they check the sim card. My phone would not activate until they switched the sim card. The online tech people told me to go to a Verizon store and have them check the sim card. They said that it happens sometimes.
