“I'm new to using a webcam and microphone on a laptop. Can someone tell me how I'll know if the microphone is on? Also, is the microphone of good quality? I would like the person I'm talking with to be able to hear me clearly. Thanks”

I've used it for video calls, and the audio and video are not below average for laptop built-in equipment. The speakers are particularly nice.
