There isn't any hidden cost just $1.00 a month till paid off. Nice phone well worth the money.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Surprisingly, the cost to replace my existing basic phone on a plan was the same $20 a month. There is a Verizon mandatory fee called activation to actually use the phone. This is only an added profit item by Verizon and unavoidable unless you buy a prepaid. No activation fee on prepaid, but you have to use it as a prepaid for six months, at a higher cost, before you can use it on a lower cost plan. The $1 a month is now $6.15 and will vary depending on what the market will bear. It is still better than buying it outright for $99.99 retail!
