“I have an AT&T Mobility Plan. I am now using a galaxy 5 phone. Can I just switch out the SIM card and put it in this new J7 phone and continue using the same SIM card and my current AT&T plan or do I have to pay an activation fee and get a new SIM card?”

yes u can and u don't have to pay any activation fee I just got rid of my v20 for this phone and I took the sim card I had in that phone and put it in this phone and it is working fine
