they do take sim cards but only with the carrier listed and the sim is smaller then normal..you will have to go to your phone carrier and gert the smaller sim card. MAKE SURE U GO TO COOPERATE REATAIR. if u go to small store they charge for new sim card. I love the note I got ..very nice. just like new
