“When getting a BOGO phone, can you switch existing phone numbers on your account with the new line phone or does the number on the new line always have to be with the free phone.”

• I was told by a Verizon agent, through online chat, that the new line needs to stay with the new phone for 24 months, or the credits will stop. It was mentioned by a couple other sources that it is possible to swap sim cards.

• Your SIM card carries your number and information. You can take that SIM card and put it into any phone. Your number goes with you.

• I was told yesterday by a Best Buy employee in the store, that once you add the new line of service, you can then switch the new Note 9 to an existing number in your account.
