Depends on the carrier and you'll probably have to unlock the phone. Some carriers give you the unlock code, but i'm not sure about AT&T. There are other ways to do it off the record but it's more advanced. It will not work on Verizon or Sprint, as they have a different network frequency. So your only choice is T-Mobile or another local provider.
