whats the difference between the 4s and 4s active? null

The difference is that the 4S active is water resistant and the 4S is not.

The Active is water "resistant" and dust "resistant. My daughter always delights her friends by putting in her water glass at restaurants. People are shocked at first but laugh when the "trick" is revealed. I would not let her put it in the pool, but a day at the beach with sun, sand, and sea salt spray was handled with no issues.
