I believe it is because the phone carrier supplements the seller (charges the seller less wholesale) because the carrier does not get to load the bloatware that cannot be removed from the phone without rooting (hacking) the Android operating system. Also the carrier ensures that you will use their service only and that is where the money is at for them; the carrier makes their money from the contract and services, not the actual selling of the phone. I could be wrong, but this is the reason that I have found in my research.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question. When I pointed out the price discrepancy to the sales guy in the BB store, he seemed unaware that their prices were so much more than anyone else's. It makes me wonder if they just go the wrong pricing specs because best buy is typically pretty competitive on price. Either way, I told the sales guy that is was cheaper elsewhere and they honored the competitors prices and I got the phone for the lowest price I could have purchased it anywhere else.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.we are a indirect reseller so we pay the full price for the phones same as you when they are not being activated on a contract so the price difference is our mark up so we can still make a profit rather then losing money on every device we sell
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.a lot of stores offer different prices , this is how they compete, i like dealing with BB phone department since they are very knowledgeable and the service is top rate
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.when I bought my phone in April, it was $49.99 for Sprint but free if it was with ATT or Verizon probably because they are no longer making the 5c.
