The model is considered an international edition. It is an import, but then again since they don't make cell phones in America, all phones are imports. The default language is English. You have the ability to change it to different English regions as well. ie United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. The difference helps with texting and voice recognition. They also have about 50 more languages.
