The cord that comes with the phone only allows you to charge the phone from a USB port, such as on a computer or other USB charging device. You can purchase a small cube-shaped wall-plug connector that allows you to connect to any normal wall electrical outlet if you prefer (for about nine dollars). That is what I did. Those wall-plug connectors used to be part of the cord or at least come with the cord. The store claims that item is no longer included "to reduce landfill waste." However, if you (like me and I assume most people) buy the connector separately--in its separate and sizable packaging--you will of course add far more waste to the landfills than if the item had been included by itself with the phone and no extra packaging. The omission of the wall plug connector seems a transparent way of forcing customers to pay extra for something that should be included with your phone purchase, and it adds to the problem of plastic pollution rather than reducing it as claimed. Moreover, I am sure that item can be purchased for a fraction of the store's selling price if you search for it online or visit most big-box discount chain stores. I didn't do so because I was in a hurry, but if it is all you need, you should definitely go online and compare prices. I believe in showing loyalty to retailers, but not when it comes to deceptive practices such as this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Best Buy representative advised me today the phone comes with the newer "c" plug and not the block that you would need to plug the "c" into. However, you can still use the standard chargers. The "c" plug is faster.
