- Answer Probably not. A Verizon prepaid basic phone normally has no data plan. VZ will not likely allow a smartphone on the same plan, and any accumulated balance will likely be lost when the plan is changed. Even if the account is the same, the plan would be different.

- Answer Absolutely! It is so easy, you don't have to do anything, it guides you through it. I had S3 and when I got S7, the transfer of data was so smooth, I love it. Usually, that's my worst nightmare to trasnfer contacts, and pix and data to a new phone but S7 has a very very easy and smooth transfer. No worries at all!

- Answer No. If you buy the phone outright, there is no contract. Any plan contracts depend on your carrier, not the phone itself

- Answer No, it is not an improvement. The S6 is being updated more rapidly than the S7. In fact, as of now, the S7 is still running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and the S6 is running 7.0.1 Nougat. Samsung has not been forthcoming with updates (quarterly security updates for the S7, no OS updates at all) or schedules (all they have said for over 4 months is "soon"). Bottom line, I would rather have stuck with my GS5 than move to the S7. It would probably have more recent security updates.

- Answer Hi Alice, I have been using this phone in Brazil with TIM network with no problems. You should check with your provider but I believe you would have no problems. This phone comes with charger, Sim removal tool, headphones, USB to Micro USB adapter and regular documentation.

- Answer We recently bought this same phone and activated it with Straight Talk. It did take about 2 hours to complete because we had to call them and they had to do something on their end to make it active, the BYOP instructions did not work and are not real helpful. We also created our own account exactly like the instructions said but it kept telling us that our email was not compatible. So that required them setting that up too. It works with the phone just annoying to set up. It took way longer than I would have liked.

- Answer I'm not sure the exact battery model number but it is the kind you can't take out. Battery stays in for the life of the phone. Might be possible to replace down the line but most likely voids the warranty.

- Answer It is fully unlocked and works on Sprint towers. You will need to get them to give you a sim card for it since a phone purchased directly from Sprint or Boost may not have a sim to transfer into this phone.
