• @Michael: That is not true. This is the universal unlocked version of the S8. It will work on all networks. From the item description: "Universal Unlocked Compatible with all major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Also compatible with prepaid carriers including Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Simple Mobile, Total Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, Mint, and H2O."

• The locked version's bootloader is locked. If you ever intend to root phone this will make if difficult if not impossible to root.

• The unlocked version will not operate on the Verizon system. It will operate on the AT&T and T-Mobile system. Also, the unlocked version will not operate on WiFi calling on the AT&T system.
