You should have bought Geek Squad Protection! You can find a Best Buy that has Samsung same day phone repair. It will cost you 199.99 plus tax, but your manufacturers warranty will remain intact and they will recertify that the phone is water resistant.

The Galaxy S8 is a great phone, however if you check reviews, it has a fragile screen design and that is why there are so many cracked screen issues. Its all in the design and rounded edges, beautiful but very fragile even with the best phone case. Breakability score 76 out of 100, check it out!
