Your plan stays with Verizon, so you pay Verizon. Best Buy is only selling you the phone (unit). Insurance through Geek Squad will be through BB for payment. Yes, everything can be transferred. I went from an S4 to an S8. BB rep downloads an app that transfers EVERYTHING. All of your texts messages, pix, phone call history, EVERYTHING. And super fast. It was great.

Your monthly bill would still come from Verizon and you would pay them. The Best Buy sales rep should be able to transfer files from your current phone to your new phone. My wife upgraded to S8 and switched to Verizon from Sprint. The rep connected the phones with a cable and performed a data transfer between the phones. As for the insurance (Geek Squad) I would assume that would be paid to Best Buy as that is their service they offer. Also i believe that is a one time payment that covers a specified time period and not a monthly fee.
