Verizon says that the Up Rewards points are usable at any Verizon Retailer which would include Best Buy. The Best Buy Associates may not know this or how to do it. But it is a simple matter of entering your rewards promo code on line at time of purchase and Verizon wiill use it to adjust the price/installment payments. If it is not done right at the store, you can call Verizon after and they will take the code and adjust things. Verizon has great customer service ifor this type of issue You would not get Best Buy points. If you are using Up Rewards you are purchasing the phone from Verizon, not from Best Buy. You are making payment to Verizon typically via a 24 month installment agreement. The Up Rewards go to adjust the price in the agreement. That is also why Verizon can make adjustments after purchase.
