• No geo fencing. If you attach it to your dog and he goes out for a walk away from you and doesn’t have his own Samsung Galaxy phone, he won’t show up on the location map until he gets close to anyone with a Samsung Galaxy phone.

• Yes, out of range of your attached cell device that has the app. Plus it has family sharing. Also if it goes out of range of other pingable devices, you can set it to notify you when its located, through the app
