QuestionCan someone that has an iphone have access to this tracker also if someone has a samsung for tracking purposes to know where they are in case of an emergency?

- Answer No, services are not compatible. That being said it does use bluetooth so you can identify the device the device if the bluetooth is compatible and if you are close enough, like pairing. There is a utag app that works across devices but never tried so i dont know. If you have apple devices get an airtag or lesser an itag. Itag may bridge device compatibility but have also never tried.

- Answer Severely limited capabilites. There is a workaround app called "utag" for non samsung phones but never tried so unless you're tech savvy i would look for another tag option. Also smarttags isnt compatible with googles find my device network. The smart things app is pretty legit. I track multiple phones, tags and watches and they appear on a map with pretty darn good spatial resolution. A cool feature is you can force ring any of the devices from the app if you need to find where you "put them away".

QuestionWith my 8 year old being in school alone (without her siblings) and me not allowing her to have a phone just yet. Would this help me track her while it is in her backpack? Or would it be too far?

- Answer Depends on how far the school is located. From my experience, they are accurate within the airport area, including when checked luggage is processed behind the scenes on the conveyor belt, loaded onto a cart, placed inside the aircraft, offloaded at the destination, and finally retrieved from the carousel.

QuestionIf I send this with my son and he's kidnapped, will this be able to tell me exactly where he is and has been in real time? I saw a comment about it needing to be next to a Samsung device. Does this mean if it's out in the middle of nowhere I can't track?

- Answer Essentially yes. This sounds like a privacy nightmare, though. I hope you have a good reason to be tracking your son and his consent. The tag communicates with the Smartthings Find Network via other Samsung phones or nodes. So, it generally works better (updates faster) in high-traffic areas. If your son is abducted and taken somewhere rural, then you'd probably be out of luck.

QuestionDo you have to hang it outside your luggage, or could you place it inside a pocket of the luggage? I can see it either getting broken off or stolen. My luggage has several outside zipper pockets and I would prefer to place it inside of one of those.
