I still have my desk top because of the battery life in the tablet. Also if you don't have a very good antivirus and firewall on the tablet, I would not use it for personal stuff, like banking and paying bills. Just some things to consider.

Probably your best bet would be to get the tablet (Assuming you are going to anyway) and compare what your can do with it against what you could do with your desktop, then decide. But as long as you have your desktop you may as well keep it. If you did choose to try and replace your desktop with a tablet, it might be wise to consider a larger version of this one or even a Samsung Note. If you want to do printing I believe you would need a wireless printer in your network.
