• A:Answer You're probably trying to restore it from a cloud based backup - it will ask you when you first start setting it up. This tablet can not be upgraded to Marsmallow 6.1 - it can only run the highly deprecated Lollipop 5.1.1.

• A:Answer Did you try pressing the multi-window "button" (icon) on left bottom of screen? It puts all apps in mini screens & you can close them individually/selectively that way. Alternatively, 1) Are you sure you pressed the off button long enough? 2) I haven't tried, but you could probably remove the battery. 3) If the battery dies, it will go away, I think.
