“I have a tab 8 with 16mb, I have had issues from the begining with it over heating you can feel hot spots and I have a cool down app. I worry about it exploding. I love it except for this and it occasionally freezes in facebook! Will new Silver better?”

All lithium ion batteries get warm as they charge. A few suggestions: unplug your charging cable as soon as it is fully charged. Never leave the cable plugged overnight or if you are away for several hours. Never charge while holding it on your lap. If you store your tablet in a case, leave the case cover open while charging, and allow plenty of ventilation. The Facebook freeze is a separate issue. Make sure you are clearing the cache, RAM and other unnecessary apps running in the background on a regular/daily basis. It may help to set instant-play video to OFF.
